Climate
Perth enjoys a Mediterranean climate, experiencing mild winters. Winters are relatively cool and wet with temperatures ranging from 8-19°CThere are occasional thunderstorms. Mornings and evenings can be brisk so make sure to pack a thick, warm jacket. Perth's average temperature for August is 16°C.

Currency/Banking
The currency used is the Australian dollar. Banking hours are usually 0930 -1600hrs, Monday to Friday. Automatic Teller Machines are well spread throughout the Perth business district. International credit cards are accepted throughout the country banks, most hotels and city stores
